The original painting was the last piece of the first “Winter Works” series. It was finished at midnight on the 2023 spring equinox.
It was painted as a collective and intimate prayer to embrace grief into new life.
This last piece has a particular significance for me. I started it a few days before the spring equinox, on an overwhelming day during which I contemplated the challenges of our world, of my close ones around me, whilst holding the grief of a very recent loss of love in my personnal life.
Painting this piece was yet another reminder that the space of creation and inspiration is a sacred, healing and grounding place from which one can find some kind of peace, and pull a feeling of infinite love, bridging the most intimate places to the collective currents.
